The Peregrine team believes the combination of their 'hands on' approach and highly diverse, yet complementary skills set, provides a unique service and opportunity for any SME looking to take the next step in their corporate development.

The team combines backgrounds spanning investment banking, mergers and acquisitions, stockbroking, company operations and management, strategic planning, administration, funds management, venture capital, Stock Exchange administration and securities regulation. The combined experience of the senior management team is in excess of 80 years and encompasses an enormous range of transactions from small, start-up deals to complex corporate restructurings and IPOs, acquisitions and new equity issues in Australia and overseas. The total value of these transactions is in excess of several billion dollars.

Bryan Frost, Executive Chairman

Bryan Frost

Bryan has had a long career spanning stockbroking, investment banking, venture capital, direct investment and company management.

For several years, until 1973, he was a partner in a Melbourne-based stockbroking firm where he specialised in advising domestic and international investors, banks, financial institutions and other investment funds on Australian equity investments.

Over the past 30 years he has been directly involved with a number of public companies as a major shareholder and director and in that role has been responsible for the restructuring and transformation of these companies.

In recent years, Bryan has been actively involved in providing corporate advice and securing capital (including venture capital) for several new ventures spanning the biotechnology, consumer products, industrial technology and resource sectors.

Richard Revelins, Executive Director

Richard has been involved with Peregrine since its inception where he has been responsible for assisting with the sourcing, structuring, documenting, funding and completion of deals. Prior to joining Peregrine, Richard held senior executive positions in investment banking and stockbroking firms Kleinwort Benson Australia Limited, Morgan Grenfell Australia Limited and McIntosh Corporate Ltd (now Merrill Lynch Australia ).

During his time with these firms, Richard acquired valuable skills and experience, having acted as an advisor to a number of public companies in areas covering takeovers, mergers and acquisitions, capital raisings, Stock Exchange listings and strategic financial advice. As a consequence, Richard has in depth knowledge of ASX Listing Rules and Corporations Law requirements.

Peter Marks, Executive Director

Peter Marks

B.Ec, LLB Grad. Dip. Comm Law, MBA

Over the last 20 years, Peter has acquired extensive experience in the area of corporate finance, specialising in capital raisings (for listed and unlisted companies), underwritings, IPOs and venture capital transactions.

He has served as an Associate Director of McIntosh Securities (now Merrill Lynch Australia ) as well as the Head of Corporate Finance at Baring Securities in Melbourne and Burdett Buckeridge & Young in the Melbourne office.

Between 1985 and 1991, Peter was responsible for advising on a substantial number of listed and unlisted company issues ranging from corporate and company structures, valuations, business strategies, acquisitions and international opportunities. In 1992, Peter was appointed Head of the Melbourne Companies Department at the Australian Stock Exchange.

Between 1995 and 1998, Peter was Managing Director of a boutique corporate advisory and venture capital firm which had Australian and Chinese shareholders, working with a number of small to medium sized companies, raising new capital for them either by way of private placement or listing on the Australian Stock Exchange. This work included several cross-border transactions.

From 1998 to early 2001 Peter was Director, Corporate Finance at KPMG Australia and responsible for heading up the Melbourne equity capital markets group. In this role, Peter helped develop the team's capabilities in the equity markets area and was responsible for generating several IPO projects as well as assisting with the funding for a range of private equity transactions.

Michael Quinert, Director

Michael Quinert graduated with degrees in economics and law from Monash University in 1984 and 1985 respectively and has over 20 years experience as a commercial lawyer, including three years with ASX Limited and over 15 years as a partner in a Melbourne law firm. He has extensive experience in assisting and advising public companies on capital raising and market compliance issues and has regularly advised publicly listed mining companies.

Michael sits as a Managing Partner of Melbourne law firm Oakley Thompson & Co, as Chairman of ASX listed West Wits Mining Limited and as a Director of publicly listed Victorian Livestock Exchange Ltd.

Tim Chapman, Associate Director

Tim Chapman

Tim has worked within financial services industry for over 10 years. Tim joined Peregrine in 2004 after relocating back to Melbourne from London where he was employed at Schroders Asset Management within the emerging markets team. Prior to moving to London Tim worked for Ernst and Young, Chartered Accountants in Melbourne.

During his time at Peregrine Tim has been responsible for structuring, documenting, funding and executing many transactions. He has advised and worked on a myriad of capital raising for public and private companies through IPO's, Reverse Take-Overs, Private Placements and Rights Issue as well as many M&A transactions. Tim has raised capital for public and private companies in a number of industries including minerals and exploration, medical devices, media and entertainment, technology and infrastructure.
